What is PGPR?

Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria – A catchall phrase for the beneficial soil bacteria that directly or indirectly promotes plant health. It is generally accepted that
these were first defined by Kloepper et al, "Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria on
Radishes" in Proc. 4th Int. Conf. Plant Path. Bact. Angers, France in 1978. As
expected, this is an area receiving much attention.
